Chakra mediation is a very simple form of meditation that anyone can perform. It involves the simple process of focusing on each chakra point on your body through a process of visualization. By doing this, we are trying to obtain balance and focus on the problems that each of the seven chakras we have might tell us, especially if they are blocked and we feel pain or stress associated with that area.

But what is a chakra? It is an aura or point of energy of the body that is represented by the each color of the rainbow. They follow in a linear fashion down the body from the crown to the feet. Along with their location, they are also said to be symbolic of other health or mental issues that are related or affect our bodies. For example, the throat chakra is associated with the color of light blue and represents expression. If this chakra is block or one is suffering from colds or other ailments that affect the throat, it means that we are unable to express ourselves correctly or the way we ought to.

If you are looking to start your chakra meditation process, you need to center yourself before you get started, this will help you connect yourself to the ground that you are sitting or lying down upon. You need to become very relaxed in the process and take deep breaths. As you do so, you will feel your whole body relax from head to toe. You might want to countdown with some visualization techniques or any other method that is comfortable to you.

Once deep relaxation is achieved, you can now begin the process. Begin by locating each chakra separately and focus on opening them up starting from your feet and slowly move up to your head. You can imagine these chakras flowing upward and becoming one with the air or illuminating the ceiling. Perhaps each chakra is different colored flowers that are slowly blooming and opening up. Whatever visualization you use, it will help you to enhance your chakra flow.
